Tony is the principal partner of the firm and highly regarded as sound in banking and corporate commercial law as well as arbitration. He was educated at the University of Lagos and obtained a Masters Degree in Law (LLM) as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (B.Sc). He is a fellow of the chartered institute of secretaries and administrators of London and Nigeria, associate of both the chartered institute of arbitrators of London and chartered institute of taxation of Nigeria. He is a member of the Negotiation and Conflict Management Group (NCMG) and the Lagos multi-door court house as well as the Nigeria and international bar associations.

Tony also had a successful banking career that spanned over 20 years covering both commercial and retail banking before establishing the partnership, Okonmah, Okonma & Co. He has sound and extensive practical experience and knowledge of banking and corporate finance law, company secretarial practice, tax advising services, alternative dispute resolution, fraud and asset tracing, oil and gas, Public Private Partnership (PPP).

With his combined experience as a banker, chartered secretary and administrator, Lawyer and arbitrator, with considerable experience, he stands out amongst his colleagues and much sought after for complex disputes.

Dom is a partner of the firm. He holds an LLB degree from the University of Benin and was called to the Nigerian bar in 1986. He worked briefly as Legal Officer with The Board of Customs before joining the Legal firm of Chike Chigbue & Co. He later went into private practice establishing Dom Okonma & Associates and later the partnership, Okonmah,Okonma & co He specializes in shipping and Admiralty, Immigration and Nationality as well as commercial real estate. He is also a consummate politician and party leader in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Nosike is a consultant to the firm. He was educated at the university of Ibadan and Lagos. He qualified as a lawyer in 2002 after obtaining a BSC and MSC degrees in Economics in 1983 and 2002 respectively. He earned a doctorate degree from St. Clements University, British West Indies in 2005.

He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and administrators London and Nigeria. A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK.

Nosike worked in private sector employment rising to the position of Group Managing Director/CEO of John Holt Plc before going into full time legal practice. He has extensive knowledge and practical experience of Nigerian law and Practice which involved banking and finance, company secretarial practice and administration, energy and natural resources and insolvency, commercial law and practice, employment and industrial relations, arbitration etc.

His experience as an administrator and sound legal practitioner stands him out. Nosike has lectured and written extensively on banking and finance, commercial arbitration and administration, employment and industrial relations and company secretarial practice. He advises on both contentious and non contentious issues.

Ifeoma is a senior counsel in the firm. She was educated at the University of Dundee, United Kingdom and Benin, Nigeria, she qualified as a Lawyer in 2004 and worked briefly as state counsel at the Kano State Ministry of Justice from 2007-2008 before proceeding for her Masters Degree at the University of Dundee, United Kingdom. After the programme, she worked as Legal Consultant to IEI-Solicitors Norwich, United Kingdom and later as Gateway Assessor at Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB), Norfolk Norwich, United Kingdom. She returned to Nigeria in 2011 and worked as Head, Commercial law in the firm of Jude and George before joining Okonmah Okonma & Co.

Ifeoma is a commercial law expert and the head of our commercial litigation and company secretarial practice. She acts for a number of International and domestic clients for whom she provides contentious and non contentious advice.

On the non contentious side, she is involved in employment issues, drafting of corporate and commercial agreements and provision of advice to private clients.

Chibuikem is a senior counsel with the firm. He was educated at the University of Lagos. He started his legal career at DCON consulting as a legal researcher and dispute resolution specialist and later worked at the city of law, Ikeja Lagos before joining Okonmah, Okonmah & Co as head of its dispute resolution practice. He is also experienced in drafting of corporate and commercial agreements, employment issues, civil and commercial litigation, taxation, insolvency and reconstruction Chibuikem has lectured and written extensively on arbitration and dispute resolution. His book, understanding the role of lawyers in dispute resolution is one of the best in the subject.

Mudi is a senior counsel in the firm. He holds an LLB degree from the University of Lagos and was called to the Nigerian bar in 2004. He started his legal career as a litigation counsel with Taiwo Osipitan & Co before joining Okonmah, Okonma & Co as head of civil litigation and corporate finance law.
